Starting with childhood appearances accompanying his illustrious father to studios. And on to be a performer himself. And very soon, a producer – to quench his thirst, rather his search, for the ultimate story of love.
Raj Kapoor – the eternal seeker, the eternal explorer – in quest for the meaning of love equation between a man and a woman. All his life he produced films. And the other important and unforgettable happening of the year was India winning the World Cup of Cricket in that year.

“Vidhaata” (1982) made its debut on the blog on this date ten years ago (1 november 2012) with the song (Ho saathhiya) whose lyrics were contributed by Prakashchandraji. That was also a post to wish the leading lady of that film on her birthday.
That makes ‘Vidhaata” a part of the BTYC 2012-2022 today on 1 november 2022.
Ten years back on this date viz on 1 november 2012, six songs from six movies were covered on the blog. Here are the details:-

‘Prem Rog’ (1982) was a film produced by Raj Kapoor’s RK Film’s and directed by Raj Kapoor himself. It had Rishi Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor from the Kapoor clan heading the cast with Padmini Kolhapure, Nanda, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raza Murad, Leela Mishra, Sushma Seth, Bindu, Om Prakash, Kiran Vairale featuring in prominent roles/characters. Vijendra Ghatge, Rajendranath, Tanuja, Asha Sachdev, Monty Nath, Dulari and Dina Pathak featured in either special or guest appearances.

18th July 2012- nine years to the date since the first superstar of Bollywood passed away. An actor who charmed his way into the hearts of his (female) fans with a smile that reached his eyes and could express his emotions with his eyes.
The style with which he said “Pushpa, I hate tears”. Or the the way he said “why are you roing?” to his girlfriend (Farida Jalal) who has come to wish him ‘all the best’ as he is leaving for the war.
