# Bhoole-Bisre Geet #(Birthday of Actor – Arun Govil )
——————————————-——————————
Today 12th January 2023 is the sixty-fifth birthday of actor Arun Govil. (He was born on 12th January 1958).
Arun Govil made his debut in Hindi Films in 1977 in the movie ‘Paheli’. However the main hero in this movie was Satyajeet. After ‘Paheli-1977’, he quickly graduated to lead roles in Rajshree Production movies such as ‘Saanch Ko Aanch Nahin’, ‘Saawan Ko Aane Do’ and ‘Radha Aur Seeta’. All these three movies were released in the year ‘1979’. While ‘Raadha Aur Seeta’ didn’t fare well commercially, ‘Saawan Ko Aane Do’ was a highly successful movie of its time and ‘Saanch Ko Aanch Nahin’ was also a decently successful movie though not on the scale of ‘Saawan Ko Aane Do’.

“100 Days” (1991) was produced by Jay Mehta (son of producer Pranlal Mehta), directed by Partho Ghosh. This was a first for both the producer and director. It starred Madhuri Dixit- Moon Moon Sen- Jackie Shroff- Javed Jaffrey- Laxmikant Berde – Sabeeha (daughter of yesteryear actress Ameeta of “Tumsa Nahin Dekha” fame) and a few others. Remembering Kishore Kumar on his 91st Birth Anniversary :
teri gali main aata sanam
naghma wafa ka gaata sanam
tujhse suna na jaata sanam
phir aa jidhar aaya hoon magar
ye kehne main deewaana
khatm bas aaj ye wehshat hogi
aaj rusva teri galiyon mein muhabbat hogi
mere mehboob

I have just read the Wikipedia page on Kishore Kumar and found it enlightening in many ways. Some of the eccentric behavior described in the page, are funny and not so funny at the same time.
