The cast included Shahu Modak, Pandari Bai, Padmini, Anant Kumar, Mishra, Kumaridevi, Rushyendramani, Ragini, H Ramachandra Shastri, Deshraj etc. The film was a remake of the Kannada film, ‘Bedara Kannappa’ (1954) – [English translation: ‘Hunter Kannappa’] which was also directed by H L N Simha. Geet Kosh Vol-V (1971-1980) mentions this movie ‘Necklace Thief’ as a movie produced under the banner of Shree Nevatiya Films, Bombay. No details about the cast of this movie are available there. The song list mentions two songs for this movie. Both songs are in the voice of Krishna Kalle. Spaces are left after these two songs indicating the possibility that more songs could well have been recorded whose details are not known. Madhukar Rajasthani is the lyricist for this movie and music composer is Suman Jagdish.
