If a “Miss India “ contestant were to be asked, during the question- answer round, “What would be your next goal, if you were crowned ?”, she is unlikely to say “Mother India” :). But that is exactly what has been seen in Nargis’s celluloid journey. After her portrayal in & as ‘Miss India’ (January 1957), which cannot be described a winner at box office, she went on to portray ‘Mother India’ (October 1957) which turned out to be a land mark cinema.

Shammi Kapoor shouted “YAAHOO ” in the film Junglee-63 and the equation of film music changed drastically. Shammi Kapoor became a representative of the Rebel Youth of his times and the music in his films became loud and unmusical, as it remained only an aid to heighten his presence on the screen.
