Today’s song is from a very old-almost 90 years old- film Pratibha-1937.
The film was made by Shalini Cinetone, Kolhapur in 2 languages- Marathi and Hindi. The film story was based on a novel by N.H.Apte, in Marathi. It was directed by Kala Maharshi Baburao Painter and its music was composed by Govind Rao Tembe. All the 10 songs of the film were written by Pt. Anand Kumar. The cast of the film was Durga Khote, Master Shyam, Nanasaheb Phatak, Raja Paranjape, Heerabai Badodekar, Keshav Rao Datey and others.

“Insaaf Ka Mandir” (1969) was produced by Sherbahadur Singh and Jagdish Singh and was written and directed by BR Ishara. The movie had Sanjeev Kumar, Snehlata, Nadira, Asit Sen, Prithvi Raj Kapoor, Tarun Bose, Manmohan Krishna, Sapru, Laxmi Chhaya, Aruna Irani, Bela Bose, Mohan Sherry, Kanu Roy etc in it.
“Insaaf Ka Mandir” (1969) had six songs in it. Two songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the third song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Suman Kalyanpur. Naqsh Llayalpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sapan Jagmohan.
The son is picturised on Aruna Irani and her saheli who I guess is Laxmi Chhaaya. I request our nowledgeable readers to help confirm/ refute my identification of the actress playing the saheli of Aruna Irani.

Today’s song is from an utterly obscure, unknown film of the first decade of the talkie era – Kaun kisi ka-1939.
I have been writing posts on old films starting from the 1930s to the end of the 1960s, but I had not heard about this film till a few years back.
During the early era, very few films from the 1930’s are well known or atleast known, but most films remained unknown. Only the films made by well known film studios like Prabhat, Ranjit, Sagar, New Theatres, Minerva, Bombay Talkies etc are known to people.

I heard this song today after ages and when I checked the blog, it wasn’t posted as yet, although the rest of the four songs out of five, were posted. So with this post, all the songs are covered making the movie Yippeed.
Today’s song “Ek Jhonka Pawan Ka Aaya” is sung by Lata Mangeshkar, written by Anand Bakshi and composed by Kalyanji Anandji. It is from the movie “Tamanna” (1969).
