I have mentioned the fact that I was aware of the songs of “Paraayaa Dhan” (1971) and I enjoyed listening to them but I was not aware about the name of the movie. It is only after I opened this blog that I became aware that those much loved songs were from “Paraaya Dhan” (1971).

I always get myself confused between “Aandhi” and “Mausam”. Both these movies were released in 1975 and both these movies had Sanjeev Kumar as the hero. And both these movies were music lovers’ delight. But the fact remains that the two movies were different movies, with different heroines, different music directors etc.

This is one of those songs that I loved listening to in my formative years without having much clue about it and then I forgot all about the song once this song stopped playing on radio and loudspeakers.

Here is another song that people listen and enjoy a lot without being aware of its details. All these days I only knew what I could hear. In other words, I only knew that this was a duet sung by Lata and Kishore Kumar.

This is one of those songs that I liked a lot in my younger days without having any inkling about the details of the song, and after some time, such songs would be forgotten by one and all for all time to come.

I had been thinking of posting this song for at least one year, if not more. But somehow I was not able to bridge the gap between intention and implementation. One reason was that I was not able to get the lyrics right to my satisfaction. In addition to understandable words, this song also has gibberish (which could well be words in some other languages) that I was unable to note down correctly.

“Adhikaar” (1954) is a forgotten movie by now, but what a remarkable movie it was. This movie had Kishore Kumar and Usha Kiran in lead roles who (if I am not wrong) play live in couple at least five decades earlier than when this concept became somewhat socially acceptable. And the same movie was remade as “Sweekaar Kiyaa Maine” in 1980s.
