“Shirdi Ke saibaba” (1977) is a movie which is based on a book Sri Sai Charitra written by Late Sri Govindrao Dabholkar. The movie was produced by Salra charities trust. Ashok.V. I was aware of a movie called “Alibaba Aur chaalis Chor” (1979) which was an Indo-Soviet Union Collaboration. But I was not aware that a movie on the same well known Arabian tale was prooduced in 1966 as well. This movie , titled “Alibaba and forty thieves” was a Basant pictures Production and it was directed by Homi Wadia. The movie had Sanjeev Kumar, L Vijaylaxmi, Veena, Tabassum,David Abraham, B.M.Vyas,Indira Billi, S.N.Tripathi, Kamal Mehra, Kishan Mehta etc in it.

Karva chauth is a festival mainly associated with womenfolk, and as a result it is often forgotten by men. It is similar to men forgetting their wedding anniversaries, wife’s birthday etc. What does one do, when one realises this fact late ? One hurries up to make amends. And that is what I am trying to do just now. I have realised late that today is Karwa chauth festival, and so at this late hour, I am trying to push through some karwa chauth festival songs. 🙂
