“Baap Beti” (1954) is a very obscure movie and its songs are even more obscure. But what nice songs this movie has !
Here is a lovely song from this movie. This song is sung by Lata and chorus. Only the audio of this song is available, so it is difficult to guess how and whom this song is picturised. My guess is that a music teacher is teaching music to her pupils in this song.

“Namoona” (1949) is a movie that had Kishore Sahu, Kamini Kaushal, Dev Anand and Leela Chitnis in lead roles. In this movie, Kamini Kaushal’s father fixes her wedding with Kishore Sahu, though she is in love with Dev Anand. Ironically, R D Burman was unable to get any other assignment as an independent music director after that. He continued to work as an assistant to his father. Others may not have cared to look at R D Burman, but Mehmood once again reposed his faith on R D Burman as the music director for his movie called “Bhoot Bangla” (1965). Not just that, he gave R D Burman an important acting role too in this movie !

I have discussed as many as nine songs from “Nastik” (1954) and I have yet to run out of songs to discuss from this movie !
Here is another song from this movie. This is a “growing up” genre of thing. Nalini Jaiwant is reaching pubery and she is developing the tender feelings of the feelings of love and attraction towards of other gender. The feelings of a girl thus growing up has been expressed beautifully in this song which is penned by Pradeep. Lata is the singer and music is composed by C Ramchandra.
