“Do Ustaad”(1982) was produced and directed by S D Narang for Oriental Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Shatrughan Sinha, Reena Roy, Danny Denzongpa, Vikram, Nazneen, Nirupa Roy. They were supported by Jagdeep, Mukri, Kalpana Iyer, Jeevan, Narendra Nath, Sheetal, Jagdish Raj, Praveen Paul, Yusuf Khan, M.Rajan, Bably Gazala, Baby Pinky, Master Baboo, Master Rajesh, Master Nadeem, C.S.Dubey, Hercules, Punoo, Abhimanyu Sharma, Johny Whisky, Jugnu, Hamid, Manjeet, Sunil Dhawan, Goga Kapoor etc. Special appearances were made by Shakti Kapoor, Neeta Mehta, Dev Kumar, Komila Virk,B hagwan and S.D.Narang.

I had heard his name before. Like how Indians achieved freedom on 15 August 1947, most kids like me achieved their freedom when they started going to college. I achieved my freedom in may/ june 1978, when I passed my matriculation examination and got admitted to college. When I was in school, the only landmark I passed while commuting between home and school was the railway station. But now I came across almost all the movie halls of Ranchi as I commuted between home and college (St Xavier’s College, Ranchi). Being a college going person, I was considered grown up. In reality I was not even 16 at that time and I was not able to handle this new found freedom with responsibility.

Hullo Atuldom
My family and some members of this world of Atulsongaday, which I like to refer to as Atuldom, know my love for a few actors from the Hindi Film World. Specially the actors who graced the silver screen in the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Many of the actors of that period are in the 60 to 75/80+ age group. Actors Amitabh Bachchan, Jeetendra, Rekha, Hema Malini, Zeenat Aman, Jaya Bhaduri, Dharmendra, some actors played character roles in that period etc. when they make an appearance on reality television I make it a point to see those episodes and on repeat if possible.
