The movie had Shashi Kapoor, Babita, Ameeta, Johnny Walker, Manmohan Krishna, Niranjan Sharma, Yunus Pervez, Hari Shivdasani, Bhola, B. B. “Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya” (1966) was a Rawal Films productions. B L Rawal was the producer, C L Rawal was the director and G L Rawal was the lyricist of the movie. The movie had an impressive starcast consisting of names like Dharmendra, Nutan, Rehman, Bela Bose, Laxmi Chhaya, I.S.Johar, Mumtaz Begum, Jeevan, Randhir, Sunder, TunTun, Niranjan Sharma, Ravikant, JeevanKala, Madhumati, Pal Sharma, Brahm Bhardwaj etc in it.

Lata Mangeshkar has sung for almost all the top music directors of the golden era of Hindi film music, the major exception being O P Nayyar. She has sung many popular and melodious songs for music directors like Anil Biswas, Naushad, C Ramchandra, Husnlal-Bhagatram, S D Burman, Roshan, Madan Mohan, Shankar-Jaikishan, Hemant Kumar, Salil Chaudhary etc. But her most talked about collaborations even today are that with C Ramchandra and Madan Mohan. And rightly so as there was something special about her songs under their batons. While her songs with C Ramchandra were mostly reflected the romance with ‘feel good’ factor, with Madan Mohan they were mostly associated with ‘heart felt’ pensive mood genre.

I am aware of a movie called “Hatimtai” (1955). It appears that the same movie was also called “Hatimtai Ki Beti” (1955). The movie was produced and directed by Nanubhai Vakil. The movie had Mahipal, Chitra, Daljeet, Krishn Kumari, Kumkum, Naaz, Maruti, Hiralal, Helen etc in it.

“Chaandni” (1942), by now an obscure movie, was a Ranjit Production movie. It was directed by Jayant Desai. This movie had Ishwarlal and Khursheed in lead roles, with Dixit, Noorjahaan and Baby Kamla etc being the other actors.
