It has been mentioned by several readers that Dev Anand appeared almost immortal to them and it was inconceivable to them that he could ever die. But time and tide waits for none and everyone has to succumb some day. Dev Anand breathed his last on 3rd of december 2011 at the age of 88. He led an active life till the end. His zest for life and his youthful exuberance is something that is difficult to emulate for most people. With time , he had lost weight and had shrunk as was bound to happen, but his mental faculties continues to be sharp and he could still walk on his feet. Most people can only dream of such physical fitness if they ever live up to that age.

“Anuraag” (1972) is a movie which was produced and directed by Shakti Samanta. The star cast included names like Ashok Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Mehra, Moushmi Chatterjee, Nutan, Satyajit, Madan Puri, Nazir Hussain, Satyen Kappu, Asit Sen, Abhi Bhattacharya etc.

“Aap Aaye Bahaar Aayi” (1971) is a movie which was produced and directed by Mohan Kumar. This movie had the hot pair of 1960s, namely Rajendra Kumar and Sadhana in it, whose best days were already behind them. This movie helped them to turn the clock back momentarily.

“Tumhaare Liye” (1978) is a recent movie by the standards of this blog, and it came at a time when I was fully awrae and alive to the Hindi movies that were being released those days. But I was not much aware of this movie. So it shows that this movie was one of those boring art movies that most movie goers would not touch with a barge pole.

“Chhoti Bahu” (1971) is a movie which was produced by Seeroo Daryani and Darius Gotia.K B Tilak was the director. The movie had Rajesh Khanna,Sharmila Tagore Nirupa Roy, Shashikala, I. S. Johar, Madhumati, Jayshree T., Master Suraj, Mehmood Junior, Tarun Bose, Shivraj, Jairaj, Master Ratan, Radhika Rani, Irshad Panjatan, Chandrima Bhaduri etc in it.
