“Shauhar”(1948) was directed by Veena Kumari for Dil Sitan Arts, Bombay Production. It had Veena Kumari, Ulhas, Sankata Prasad, Bhudo advani, Chandramukhi, Mehrunnisa, Diafza, Dulari, baby Annu. So, Veena Kumari was the maker of this obscure movie and she had her fingers in many pies. She was the lead female playback singer in this movie as well.

I came to know about a film made in 1940 with a title ‘Intezaar’ through Filmindia magazine. Later, it was given a new title ‘Sneh Bandhan’ (1940) and was released with the same name. I did not evince much interest in knowing about the film until I came across the mp3 clip of a beautifully worded song from the film.
