The movie, descrobed as a social movie , had Radha Saluja, Vijay Arora, Gulshan Arora, Aruna Irani, Kamini Kaushal, I S Johar, Kamal Kapoor, Mahendra (south), Sanjeeva etc, with guest appearances by Yogita Bali, Lalita Pawar, Mehmood, Fariyaal, Kiran, Rajat Rakshit and Pran.

The best thing about Holi songs is that in most cases, the message of colors is immediately apparent in the coloring of the lyrics. The songs get created in the spirit of Holi itself. It is a social and group celebrations, and the songs of this festival are sung by multiple singers, and performed by a multitude of players on the screen. And as we sit down to color code the lyrics, the resulting view is as colorful as the festival itself.

Greetings to Faryal on her birthday today (3rd November).
When she appeared on the film scene in 1965-66, the she was christened as the Sophia Loren of the Indian film industry. Considered to be one of the more daring cabaret dancers on screen, she actually expressed her extreme dislike for it, stating that primarily she is not a dancer, she never trained to be. But that is the industry and the type casting for you.

I love to liken the journey of this blog to a non stop long distance travel by road. As long as the vehicle and the road are working smoothly, one tends to pass milestones after milestones in no time. “Manoranjan” (1974) was an Eagle Films production. It was produced by F C Mehra and directed by Shammi Kapoor. The movie had Zeenat Aman, Sanjeev Kumar, Dev Kumar, Shammi Kapoor, Faryal, Madan Puri, Paintal, Asit Sen, Mac Mohan, Agha etc in it.
