This is a song that is today known to the present generation thanks to a remix song.When I saw/ heard this remix song, then the first think that came to my mind was- why they cannot make their own original music. And in case they have to use old songs, why they should not acknowledge this fact somewhere. Plagiarism is plagiarism, and it is blatant plagiarism because the golden era songs, which are being used as source material for these remixes are still fresh in the mind of music lovers.

During 1970s, Amitabh Bachchan had taken over the crown of the number one male actor of the decade. The one actor, who looked like a challenger was Vinod Khanna, but Vinod Khanna’s mind was not into his career. He became a devotee of Achaarya Rajneesh (that is how he was then known, before he began to call himself “Osho”). As a result, he ended up nowhere. He neither got the spiritual nirvaana from his spiritual guru nor could he devote himself whole heartedly to his movie career. If he could only devote himself whole heartedly to his movie career, he could have been number one, at least briefly, and who knows, may be for even longer durations.

I knew nothing about this movie and about this song. It is just that my dear internet friend Raja knew about this song. He in fact is so impressed with this song that he has posted this song in his blog and even provided a translation of the song. He had requested me to post this song here. I told him that I was going to shamelessly copy his translation, and he readily permitted me to plagiarise. 🙂
