Ganesh was one music director who got very few opportunities as a music director, and he made the most of these opportunities. But much to his, and our misfortune, many of his songs were forgotten, since the movies were flops. These songs, though very fine songs on their own,are very difficult to come by these days.

“Jhootha Kahin ka” (1979) was one of the movies where Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh got paid for carrying out their romance in full public view. They were indeed so lucky to get paid for doing what they enjoyed.

“Aapke Deewaane” (1980) is a movie that had some nice songs in it. This is one of the few movies I recall where Rafi and Kishore Kumar sang together. It was perhaps for the last time that the two sang together, since Rafi died shortly thereafter.
