Today’s song is from the movie ‘Shaayar-e-Kashmir Mahjoor’.
I had never read or heard about this movie earlier till I become aware of this in HFGK Vol-V (1971-1980). It seems to be an obscure movie and very less information about it is available so far. Luckily though few of its songs have been uploaded by music lovers and I sincerely express my gratitude towards them.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2012-2022) – Song No. 22

The month of february 2012 was a “normal” month by the standard of the blog those days. A typical day of that month saw 6, 7, or 8 songs getting covered in the blog.
23 February 2012 was very much a “normal” day for the blog in the sense that seven songs from seven different movies were covered in the blog. Here are the details :-
| Blog post number | Song | Movie (Year) | Remarks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5509 | Mar gaye ham jeete jee maalik tere sansaar mein | Shabaab(1954) | Movie YIPPEED by now |
| 5510 | Mere lalla ko sulaayegi nindiya | Suhaagan(1954) | Movie YIPPEED by now |
| 5511 | Saagar pe aaj maujon ka raaj | Rangoli(1962) | Movie YIPPEED by now |

| 5515 | Laayi kahaan hai zindagi | Taxi Taxie(1977) | 3 songs covered out of 5 by now |
One can notice that five movies (out of seven) whose songs were represented on the blog ten years ago on this date have since been YIPPEED. That leaves us with only two movies that are yet to be YIPPEED and therefore eligible for the Blog ten year challenge today on 23 February 2022.
