This song used to be played frequently on radio when I was growing up(going by the release date of the movie I was just above ten years of age then).

Actually, it would not be wrong to say that some members like me are madly in love with the railways and postal departments in our country. And why not, both the railways and postal departments have their presence all over the country and these services also play major roles in nation building and national integration. Hullo Atuldom
There is a popular movie of the late ’70s, that has had a rather slow journey through the blog. With this post I hope to bring it to the YYIIPPEEEE station.
It began its journey on the blog with its most iconic song. A song that gave its singer -the legend Mohd. Rafi the National Award for best singer as well as that year’s Filmfare award. The song sort of put all doubting Thomas(es) in their place.

It is difficult for me to tell what I was doing during various dates of years gone by, seeing that I do not keep any diary. Diary writing used to be a great hobby of people of past generations. Now a days even the habit of writing with pen on paper has largely gone into disuse, and therefore going back don memor lane and giving accurate personal reminiscences has become difficult.
