This article is the 13400th song post in the blog.

Have you ever wondered. . .

how a song gets constructed?

and why a song is termed as a tip of the iceberg?

You must now be thinking – this is a peculiar but a very interesting intro to the 134th century post on the blog. So yes, before getting into the discussion on the proposed topic, congratulations are in order. Welcome all to the 13 thousand 4 hundredth post on our blog. The world, this nature – all are moving to a rhythm, and a melody. Music is instilled in everything every entity we know, we touch, we think of. But come to think of it, we do not often think of this world that way i.e. music in everything, everyday of our lives. We are so consumed with the process of existence and living day to day, that we forget to stop and smell the flowers (or smell the coffee, if you are in America). And the music of life gets hidden behind the other sundries. Often we forget to think about it.

Hullo atuldom

Hope all fine here.

Today (8 june 2017) I am posting a song which falls right in the category of “How come this is not yet posted?!?!” But that is how this blog of ours (Atul’s) is. Even after 13300 songs we still have songs for the “How come” category.

Welcome to the 97th birthday party of Gubbaare Waale Baba. He was a master of carrying any disguise, get-up or make up. Can one forget the red-wigged Sher Khan? Or Malang chacha. Or Raka. or Gajendra Singh or Halaaku. He had his own style of blowing smoke rings which first appeared in Bari-Behan (1949). He was sinister to the extent that people would not name their new borns – Pran. His name always appeared in the movie credits as “And Pran”.

I had not watched any movies in movie halls between 1972 to 1978. When I joined college and with that got the freedom to do what I pleased, I went on a movie watching spree with a vengeance, as if to make up for the lost time. I would watch all the movies that were released in the city, except “low brow” stuff that got released in old and remotely located movie halls.

Hullo to all in Atuldom

Its been three weeks since the gang out happened in Bangalore. I am sure fellow atulites would be waiting for a report on the happenings of that day. But that is not the beginning. It all began with the news that there was going to be a visitor to Bangalore in the week preceding Diwali. That started the chain of mails to coax other Atulites into making a visit. I think this is the right place to mention that this is that period in the year when birds migrate from the colder regions of the world to India which is definitely warmer. Guruji conveyed that he would be unable to make it but Ben Katie was 100% sure she would join us over the net and be our international delegate. There were only 77 mails exchanged to put the whole meet in place. My mind was playing the song “Jahaan Char Yaar Miljaaye”.
