People who are into stock markets try to guess the movement of shares based on past pattern of their price movement. I think that the principles of stock market indexes can be used to make guesses about my activities as well. If lots of songs are being discussed then it could mean that I have lots of time at my disposal, little pressure of work, family, pets etc and that my internet connection, electricity connection etc are co operating. 🙂

Today (5 august 2015)is the birthday of Kajol.
And I find myself writing a post on this blog for this occasion. 🙂
Of all the songs I’ve written about here, this has got to be the most recent. Most of the songs I post are from the 70s or earlier, with just the odd 1980s song.
And this one is of the 1990s.
But I want to post this for three reasons.

As has been mentioned in the earlier posts of the day, today (19 july 2015) is the seventh birth anniversary of this blog. One single article was posted on the first day of the blog in 2008. The blog remained one song a day blog for the first forty days and then we began to post several articles every day. Today, seven year later, the blog has well over elevent thousand songs. If one takes an average, it turns out to be an average of 4.5 songs per day. Come to think of it, maintaining this daily strike rate for seven years is quite an achievement.

The last time I discussed my dogs was in february 2013, which was more than two years ago. My dogs were two years old at that time. Now they are four years old. So they have become twice as old as they were at that time.

If there was a national season in India, it would probably be the monsoons. Across the country, the arrivals of rains is awaited and celebrated, not only traditional ways but also in very personal ways. Someone might have their mother making Adrak wali chai (ginger tea) and pakodas for them, while someone else might have a standing date with Bandra Bandstand. We all have some beautiful memories of rain that rerun in our heads when the first rains hit the dry soil wherever we are.

“Ab Aayega Mazaa”(1984) was produced by Alok Nath and Girja Shankar and it was directed by Pankaj Parashar. The movie had Farooque Sheikh, Anita Raj, Girja Shankar,Raja Bundela, Rajesh Puri, Ravi Baswani, Himani Bhatt(aka Himani shivpuri), Vinita Malik, Pavan Malhotra, Shoma Anand, Satish Kaushik, S.M.Zaheer, Sudhir Kulkarni, Hanif Zahoor, Rajendra Chawla etc in it. In other words, this movie included the whose who of actors who were then making their marks on small screen as well as on the small budget movie scene.
