Hullo Atuldom
“Jaana Pehchana” (Well-known), is a 2011 Indian film directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar and produced by Rajshri Productions. The film stars Sachin Pilgaonkar and Ranjeeta in leads. It was said to be a sequel to the 1978 film “Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se”. The screenplay was also by Sachin Pilgaonkar (known simply as Sachin). The lyrics and music are by Ravindra Jain. Kavitha Seth, Javed Ali, Sadhana Sargam and Sachin (himself) were the voices used in the six songs.

In the first ten episodes of the series, we listed actresses whose names begin with the first ten letters of the alphabet and who had lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog. They we went on to cover a song that was lip synced by another acresses whose name began with the same letter and who had not lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice in the blog.
We managed to find “new” actresses (whose name begin with the first ten letters of the alphabet) lip syncing in Asha Bhonsle’s voice for the first time in the blog. They were Anju Mahendru, Bhanupriya,Chandrakala,Divya Bharati, Ekta,Farheen,Gulnar Irani,Harsha Mehra,Isha Koppikar and Jasmine.

When I was a young school going kid in late 1960s and early 1970s, India celebrated 20 odd years of Independence. Now We are celebrating 80th Independence day !

Today’s song is the last and final song from the social film Heeralal Pannalal-1978.
The film, made by Rishi Art productions, Bombay, was directed by Ashok Roy and the Music was by R.D.Burman (Asstt: Sapan Chakravarty). The cast of the film included Shashi Kapoor, Zeenat Aman, Randheer Kapoor, Nitu Singh, Asrani, Premnath, Ajit, Amjad Khan, Ramesh Deo, Leela Mishra, Ratnamala and a loooong list of artists.

After Bhagyashree Patwardhan I come to the next B and that is Bharti Sharma. To refer to other actresses, whose name start with B and have moved their lips to Asha Bhosle’s song go to the post by Atuljee.
This Bharti Sharma is not to be confused with the 1961 born Bharati Sharma (on imdb also entered as Bharti Sharma), who is an Indian theater director, actress, and teacher. I couldn’t gather much information on this Bharti Sharma. There is no Wikipedia entry on her name and I couldn’t find any interviews with her. The only page which gives information on her is imdb and all that is there to find about her on this site is a list of her films and TV series, which total to seven.

This beautiful composition by Jaidev, was waiting ignored all this while. This blog now has more than 3500 songs by Rafi Sahab, and still gems are discovered every day.
Over the last few months, I have visited the blog intermittently, trying to keep up with the happenings. But it is not the same without my lap-top which is out of order. Lots of data about songs not posted is stored in it, and now I am feeling lost without it. Luckily, I chanced upon this song link on youtube. I have heard it before, and it is not posted, so 90% chances of link already saved in some file with songs to be posted.

We in this blog often pay tributes of HFM artists on the occasion of their birthdays as well as their remembrance anniversaries. These artists are typically singers, lyricists, music directors and actors. But there are others in the background who also contribute in the creation of songs and movies. Since most of them work behind thge scene, they often go uncredited even though their contribution in creating a composition could be of vital importance.
Take the example of the song under discussion. The song being discussed in the post is the iconic song from “Julie”(1975) viz-“Dil kya kare jab kisi se kisee ko pyaar ho jaaye”. People may exclaim how this song is not yet covered in the blog. People would be justified in wondering why this song has not yet been covered when every other song of the movie is already covered.

When Atul started the series of “Alphabetical list of actresses who have lip synced in Asha Bhonsle’s voice”, he had asked readers to suggest actresses, whose name started with the letter B and whose Asha Bhosle’s song have not been covered on this blog. When he covered the letter B he kindly took up my suggestion of Bhanupriya. Bhagyashree was the other actress. I had also suggested Bipasha Basu, but the song suggested by me was only a background song and not lip-synched by the actress. As a comment to the B-instalment of Atul’s series, I also mentioned Bharati Sharma. So the next post, God-willing, will cover the song dil lagaane ko dil from Hai Golmaal in White House (2013).
Bhagyashree’s story is unlike that of most Bollywood actresses. Long before she became a household name, she was born into royalty. She hails from the illustrious Patwardhan family of Sangli in Maharashtra and is the great-granddaughter of Chintamanrao Dhundirao Patwardhan, the last ruling Raja of the princely state of Sangli during British rule.
