“Teri Talaash Mein” (1968) is by now an obscure movie. This B grade movie was an A G Movie arts production. Kewal Mishra was the director of the movie. Its “star” cast consisted of names like Kumkum, Shailesh Kumar, Mohan Choti, Madan Puri, Amaranth, K N Singh, Indira etc.

Today (29th december) is the birthday of Rajesh Khanna, the heart throb of millions during late 1960s and early 1970s. The following that he enjoyed among all sections of the society, including among kids, was unbelievable.

Rajesh Khanna had become an overnight sensation in late 1960s and early 1970s.The kind of adulation that he enjoyed in his heydays was something indescribable and that could only be known to those who lived in that era. I was fortnate to have lived in that era and seen it first hand.

“Amaanush” (1975) is a movie which was produced in Bangla as well as Hindi. The star cast as well as the music of the two versions were common. The star cast consisted of some big names of Bangla movies, viz Uttam Kumar, Anil Chatterjee, Manik Dutt,Utpal Dutt etc. Even Sharmila Tagore, the leading lady of this movie was from Bangla background.
