The first film Nirdosh-1941 had singer Mukesh as Hero, opposite Nalini Jaywant and he sang his first film song on the screen. Film Nirdosh- 1950 was a film made by Filmistan Ltd.,Bombay and it was directed by Najmul Hasan Naqvi or simply Najam Naqvi. This shortening of his name had a history behind it.

It was the 19th death anniversary of Qamar Jalaalabadi on 9th January 2022. Some months ago, I found this very sweet and sad solo song by Rafi Sahab and it is been in my drafts all this while. The movie is ‘Gauna’ of 1950. Lyricist is Qamar Jalaalabadi and composers are Husnlal-Bhagatram.

In this episode, the 60th episode, we were supposed to cover Lata Mangeshkar songs that she sang in Hindi movies released in 2008.
But I was not able to locate any Lata Mangeshkar songs from movies released in 2008. Movies released during the next year, viz 2009 had just one movie where the voice of Lata Mangshkar was present. So in this episode we discuss a Lata Mangeshkar song from movies of 2009.
