When a normal human being misses his/her beloved, you expect them to bear it privately. But a Hindi movie hero/heroine missing his/her beloved decides to make a public spectacle of themselves. “Aan Baan” (1972) is one of the last movies of Rajendra Kumar as a hero. In this movie, he was paired with Rakhi, a heroine half his age. In any case, his days as Jubilee Kumar were behind him as by that time Rajesh Khanna had taken over as the new box office God by that time.

The first Hindi movie made by an NRI (non resident India) was “Shalimar” (1978) by Krishna Shah which was made with great publicity and fanfare and it was thought that the movie was going to be another “Sholay”, if not bigger.
