These days I am looking for missing movies of Lyricist Ravindra Jain (of course he is the music director as well), from the seventies, for some obvious reasons.
Recently I came across one such movie which I am not much aware of and I think I never got to listen to its songs. But, after listening to its songs I find the ‘holi’ song a familiar one and I was also surprised that it has not been posted on the blog so far. (however I guess it must have been sent by our other team members?)

Today’s song is a multi-singer song. It is from the 1976 released Madan Mohla produced and directed “Dus Numbri”. It had Hema Malini {who seemed to be favourite of all the heroes of the 50s & 60s and wanted a lease in their career 😉 } Manoj Kumar and a whole lot of Manoj Kumar-movie-regulars viz Premnath, Pran, Kamini Kaushal and Bindu. The movie was a musical with six songs.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2010-2020) – Song No. 8

I am fond of saying that this blog was quite prolific in the past and presently we are crawling at a slow rate in comparison. But that was not the case throughout. There was a phase in the blog even in the past when the posts in this blog had almost dried up. That was from december 2009 till february 2010. There were as many as 34 DOT days in the blog out of 90 days during these three months. Only 112 posts were published in the blog during these three months. Thus the blog those days was not even a song a day blog. It had even become no song in a day blog on 33 % days.
The reason was that I had found myself transferred from my earlier place of posting viz Jabalpur in the month of December 2009. It was an inter zonal transfer in Railways parlance. I was transferred from WCR zone to SECR Zone, whose HQ was at BIlaspur, Chhattisgarh. I reported at Bilaspur in the first week of december 2009. I stayed there for a few days before it was decided that I would be posted at Nagpur.

This article touches upon “blog ten year challenge (2009-2019)” but this article is not part of that series. It is not possible to post an article in this series Today (16 march 2019), because movies of all the songs (all six of them) that were covered ten years ago (on 16 march 2009) have already been YIPPEED by now. 🙂
This blog ten year challenge (2009-2019) was started to serve some purpose, though we were not fully clear about them.
