In Indian culture, a man coming hard on an an unwilling woman is looked down upon and it is called “teasing”. But if a woman does it to an unwilling man, it is called “seduction”. 😉 Of course, Bollywood movies regard both these activities as desirable and as such we have had many “teasing” as well as “seductive” songs in Bollywood movies.

Even obscure movies can have wonderful music, as I have realised very well by now. And when it comes to finding out about obscure movies, Memsaab Story is just the blog. It is there that I learnt about obscure movies like “Miss Mary”,”Oonche Log”,”Ek Raaz”,”Aaya Toofaan”,”Reporter Raju” etc.Not just that, Greta (Memsaab) can identify lots and lots of humorous situations in these movies ( not intended to be humorous by the makers of these movies, incidentally).

This song is a rare song which few people may have listened to. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised on Shyama. This song is from a forgotten movie called “Bus Conductor” (1959) and Premnath was the hero in this movie.

“Raaja” (1975) was a movie starring Rishi Kapoor and Sulakshana Pandit, but the movie turned out to be a flop. Perhaps public only wanted to see Rishi Kapoor with Neetu Singh, and Sulakshana Pandit could not be a suitable replacement.
