“Anubhav” (1971) was a small budget movie which was not only different, it was in fact far ahead of its time. Not just the laymen, even the movie critics had yet to mature to appreciate such movies.

Rafi, who had seen his crown as the leading male singer taken over in early 1970s, was in fact almost without work for nearly one year, that is how strongly the gale force of Kishore Kumar’s singing had hit Bollywood music scene those days. But towards the later half of 1970s, one witnesses a resurgence on the part of Rafi. He sang several great songs and it looked like he was yet again on the way to stake claim for the top spot before his untimely demise in 1980.

Joy Mukherji, Debu Mukherji and Somu Mukherji were brothers and they were from a well connected family. Their father was Shashdhar Mukherji, a big name in Bollywood movie making. Their uncle (chacha) was Subodh Mukherji, the well known movie producer. From their mother’s side, they were connected to Ashok Kumar, Kishore Kumar and Anup Kumar, who were their mamas.

Enjoying songs without knowing any details of the song and then forgetting all about that song means that when you recall the song, you have no means to locate that song. You feel helpless. You know about the song, but you do not have enough clues to help you.

I think I need to open a category of songs which I enjoyed listening to, even though I had no clue which movie they were from. Then I forgot all about these songs ( because the song alongwith its movie were forgotten) and then I stumbled upon the same song recently once more.
