Regulars of this blog are aware that my family had three pets namely Nuppy (cat), Bhole (dog) and Chhote (Dog) that my wife adopted in september 2010, october 2010 and december 2010 respectively in the place where she lived. I was based at Nagpur those days, some 300 km away. They were all very young when they were brought home. I would visit my wife and daughter and bring them to Nagpur along with the pets during their holidays.

Rising temperatures is normal in our country in the month of May. At this time of the year, we are used to seeing temperatures soaring high. Under normal circumstances, terms like ‘rising temperatures’, ‘global warming’ etc would have been ‘hot’ topic of media and general talk. But the term ‘Covid19’ has taken the wind out of the sail of the usual terms.

If there was a category like ‘post inspired by fellow Atulite’ or ‘post inspired by Atulite WA group chat’, this post would have been included under that category. This past Sunday there was a discussion between me and Peevesie’s Mom ji regarding the theme of the ‘Rangoli’ this week, which was Jaya Bhaduri/Bachchan, and so I messaged to her that I was expecting a post from her. Instead, she asked me that even I can do a post. And she also pointed out the birth anniversary of actor Jeetendra (and so if there was a song of Jaya Bachchan and Jeetendra, it would have been suitable for the post).

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2010-2020) – Song No. 14
——————————————————————————
In my personal opinion, “Namak Halaal”(1982) is one movie that had come at a critical juncture in the history of HFM and also in my personal life as well. 1982 was a time when the golden era of HFM was over. Songs and also movies were plainly becoming ridiculously rubbish. This was my personal opinion and many others shared this view.

Blog 10-Year Challenge (2010-2020) – Song No. 9
——————————————————————————
We have two movies that qualify to be covered Under the ‘Blog Ten Year challenge 2010-2020’ today (26 february 2020). One is the ‘1958’ movie ‘Chaubees Ghante’ and the other movie is from the ‘Seventies’ i.e. ‘Ahsaas-1979’.
‘Ahsaas’ was released in ‘1979’ that is when I was above eleven years old. Since the movie was released with ‘restricted viewing’ means we had no chance of watching and discussing this movie among out not yet adult friend circle.

Hullo Atuldom
Sometimes a sudden tune or memory or word sends the mind looking for a song or visual connection. So, a few days back it was a tune in my head that sent me looking for today’s song. I remembered, rather vaguely, that the song had Ashok Kumar dancing away merrily. I remember having seen it eons ago on Doordarshan – the one source of most of my nostalgia.
I hunted down the song. I found the name of the movie it was from. Searched for it on YouTube. Enjoyed my first encounter with that movie thoroughly. It has been listed on IMDB.com under “action, crime, drama” genre. It should also have been categorised as “comedy”.

Welcome all, to this post which is another of those posts of mine that was planned way back (in February 2019, to be precise)when I presented a song from the 1977 movie ‘Paapi’.
Music for this movie ‘Paapi-1977’ was composed by Bappi Lahiri. Though I had not watched this movie ‘Paapi-1977’, I liked the song that I then presented. Today’s song, also by Bappi Lahiri, came up in the list of suggestions that appeared in ‘YouTube’ with that song.

The date today is 15 november 2019. It was on this day thirty years ago (on 15 november 1989) that Sachin Tendulkar made his test debut. By a remarkable coincidence, it was on this day fifty years ago (viz on 15 november 1969) that Gundappa Vishwanath made his test debut as well.
