Blog 10-Year Challenge (2010-2020) – Song No. 99

This day ten years ago (viz 15 December 2010) was a wednesday, viz middle of the week. I was based at Nagpur. After initial struggle early in the year for settling down, I began to post songs at an average of 5 songs a day from
July 2010 onwards. Then there was a temporary slowdown in November 2010. I picked up pace again in december 2010. I notice that I had covered as many as seven songs on 15 december 2010. This was one of the seven occasions in the month when I posted as many as seven articles in a day. The first post appeared at 7:13 AM and the seventh at 9:27 AM. That is the kind of productivity I was capable of ten years ago. ! 🙂

6th October, he would have been 72. Life is such. It always, well almost, seems as if this was not the time to go. But this passage is such – no one has any say about it. One can only express emotions and reflect upon the loss. And then there are souls, people who are more close to heart than others. And the loss, the vacuum, seems to be bigger and deeper.

“Piya Tune Kya Kiya Re, Tere Bin Laage Na Jiya” – this post in 2008 by Atul ji inspired me to sit through an otherwise serious (read boring) movie. In the post Atul ji had written 3 postscripts each after different stages of movie watching and getting more gyaan about the movie. Does the name Sunil Sikanderlal Kapoor ring a bell in our minds? No? But if I say “Nandu, sabka Bandhu”, will that help us to identify the person I am talking of? I think the answer will be yes, by some of the regulars in the blog. Now one more famous line from this actor—“main crime master GO-GO, ankhen nikal ke goti kheloonga”. I can quote so many of his dialogues that I will stop here or the readers will say –“Samajhta nahin hai yaar” (she is boring us). Now I am sure that all of you would have come pretty close to identifying the actor who celebrated his 58th birthday yesterday (3rd September).
