# Bhoole-Bisre Geet # (Debutant Movie-Gawaah-1979)
——————————————-——————————

Though a recent movie by the standards of this blog this seems to be an obscure movie of its time. None of its video is available on the internet and so far audio is also available for one song only.

Today (28 January 2023) is the 16th remembrance day of O P Nayyar (16 January 1926 – 28 January 2007). He ruled the roost in HFM during 1950s and 1960s, and that too on his own terms. Imagine not using the voice of Lata Mangeshkar in his songs and still managing to create great songs. Curiously, he found his playback singer of choice in Lata Mangeshkar’s family itself, in the form of her younger sinter Asha Bhonsle. There is no doubt that it was O P Nayyar who offered Asha Bhonsle the opportunity to become a playback singer second only to her illustrious elder sister.

Hullo Atuldom
Wishing everyone of us a Very Happy Republic Day.
गणतंत्र दिवस की शुभकामनायें
This was my post last year for the occasion. & in that post I had lamented about ignorance among many citizens regarding the significance of 26th January and why it was chosen to be Republic Day.
“The 308 members of the Constituent Assembly, of thenewly Independent India, signed hand-written copies (in Hindi and English) of the Constitution of India on 24th January 1950 after much deliberation and some changes. The Constitution was adopted and came into effect throughout the country from 26th January 1950. Dr. Rajendra Prasad started his tenure as first President of India and the Constituent Assembly became the Parliament of India.

#the Decade of Eighties – 1981 – 1990 #
————————————————————————
A fortnight back, our ‘Sampaadak-Shri’ Shri Atul ji (if you are in Gujarat you will find this reference very common 🙂 ) posted a song for the ‘full moon occurrence’ which was on 06th January’2023. The song though appeared three days later on 09.01.2023. This song was ‘raat chaandni samay suhaana hai’ from the ‘1960’ movie ‘Basant’.
Today we have the ‘darkest night’ i.e. ‘amaavsya’ and I have a song for this occasion too :). I am presenting a song ‘celebrating the kaali raat’. That reminds me these lines ‘ab kisko kyaa milaa ye muqaddar ki baat hai’ from the song ‘ek chaand aasmaan pe hai’… 🙂

#the Decade of Sixties – 1961 – 1970 #
————————————————————————
The song being presented in this post is a song from a movie released in the year 1965. Regulars on the blog would remember that our Respected Sudhir ji had started a series called ‘missing movies of the sixties’ where songs from till then unrepresented movies were introduced. These songs were rare songs that were difficult to find and many of them were not not available online at that time.
