Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 112

“Saaghar Labon Se Laga Le” is again a very rare song by Asha Bhosle from the film “Ek Bechara” (1972). The song is penned by Anand Bakshi and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

“Ek Bechaara” (1972) was produced by B N Ghosh and directed by S M Abbas. the movie had Jeetendra, Rekha, Pran, Kalpana, Vinod Khanna, Johnny Walker, Bindu, Salomi, Anwar Hussain etc in it.

The film revolves around a simple-hearted villager whose honesty and devotion are tested by betrayal and conspiracy.

This Kavi Pradeep song is from the mythological movie ‘Raam Navami-1956’. This movie was directed by Raman B.Desai for Subhaag Productions, Bombay. It was passed by Censor Board on 15.06.1956. The producer of this movie was Jasubhai Patel. The cast of this movie had Nirupa Roy, Prem Adib, Ramayan Tiwari, Yashodhara Katju, Rajkumar, Ratnamala, Babu Raje, Shubha Khote, Amrut Rana, Radheshyam, Samson, Jawahar Kaul, Rooplakshami and Shree Bhagwan in it.

“Raam Navami” has eight songs composed by Bulo C. Rani and penned by Kavi Pradeep. The playback singers for this movie were Asha Bhonsle, Mohd Rafi, S. Balbir, and Kavi Pradeep. Asha Bhonsle sang five solo and two duets (one each with Rafi and Kavi Pradeep), while one song has three singers i.e. Asha Bhonsle, Rafi and S Balbir. #The Decade of Eighties – 1981 – 1990 #

YEAR 1983-1

Recently our team member Peevesie’s Mom jee had shared a song from the movie ‘Naukar Biwi Ka’, which is a movie from the year 1983.

We know that this year -1983-was a special year from the point of view of Indian cricket lovers. It was in this year that the unfancied Indian Cricket Team unexpectedly won the Cricket World Cup.

As far as movies were concerned, 1983 was the year of comeback of Rajesh Khanna.

On the personal front, it was a very important year for me as a Cricket fan as well as a student. 1983 was the most important year of my student life. I had appeared and successfully 😊 cleared my Board Exams of standard Xth.

With this song, we reach the single Nelson (as Hermes in cricket) of this series – 111 – “Na Taaj Chahiye Na Takht Chahiye” by Asha Bhosle is the next song in our rare/rarely heard songs series. This song is written by Hasrat Jaipuri and composed by Shankar Jaikishan. It is from the film “Saazish” (1975).

Saazish-1975’ was produced and directed by Kalidas for ‘Maya Movietone, Bombay’. It had Saira Banu, Dharmendra, Dev Kumar, Rajendra Nath, Madan Puri, Jagdish Raj, Murad, David, Helen etc. Iftekhar and Paintal make special appearance in this movie.

I guess that the songs from this movie were difficult to find earlier but now some songs of this movie have become available online.
