‘अ’

Celebrating another year without Rafi Sb, celebrating another anniversary of this peerless artist. And more than anything else, celebrating another year of endless memories and ruminations.  God does not duplicate, they say. And so, for us listeners, memories is all that is there to live by.

I am supposed to be moving ahead from ‘Mall Road’ (1962), the previous post in this series. But no. Today, I return to another earlier movie that was missing, but now is no longer missing.  I bring a song from a rare film ‘Bapu Ne Kaha Tha’.

Good day to all in atuldom

So today’s post is not giving any classic vintage rare song. It is one of the run of the mill (chalu, chalta hai) kind of song. It is written by Sameer who has written many traditionally lyrical and poetic songs. But I consider it must have been a little difficult for such a person to write “a not so purist” kind of song.
