Today’s song is from the movie ‘Naam-1986’.
‘Naam-1986’ may be a recent movie by the standard of this blog, but it made it’s debut on the blog long time back or precisely in the initial months of the blog and that was on 03.11.2008.

The journey continues … with many miles to go …
And here it arrives … our musical bandwagon …Wishing you all a very ‘Happy New Year-2021’!!!
Let us all be safe, healthy, peaceful and enjoying music wherever we are!!!
We start our journey with this lovely song which is saying ‘din pyaar ke aayenge’ and though here the expressions are of a lover for her love, the message we wish to convey is for all of us or rather for all on this globe – the mankind, the humanity, the nature, the environment, and for our ecological existence. Let the love blossoms and we all enjoy our stay here and do good for others as possible.

Songs Repeated in Hindi Films – 14
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
An iconic song from 1965 – absoute gem, absolutely unforgettable. “Kaanton Se Kheench Ke Ye Aanchal. . . Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai” from the 1965 film ‘Guide’. Created by the greats of that era – Shailendra, SD Burman and Lata Mangeshkar. And coming from a film directed by Vijay Anand, one is assured that the picturization would be superlative, which it surely is. The song continues to sustain its beauty even after more than five decades. It is such a genuine treat both visually and aurally.

Hullo to all of Atuldom 🙂
At the outset I must wish all the followers of Atulsongaday a happy and music-filled 2019.
January 4th is one of the dates for which I just have to write a song, with or without a post. How can I miss remembering our very own R D Burman- not that we can escape his music on other days, right? Every second song that plays in our mind would invariably be a Pancham composition specially if we have grown up in the 70s or 80s. Even those who subscribe to the view that the music of the 70s or the later years was not a patch on the music of the golden era would grudgingly say they love “chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko”; “mere naina saawan bhadon”; “kya hua tera waada”; “jis gali mein tera ghar na ho balama”; “abhi toh haath mein jaam hai” or “zindagi hai khel koi pass koi fail”. So, there is no escape from Panchamda or R D Burman and you have a song by him for any genre, mood occasion etc.
