It had Sunil Dutt, Mallika Sarabhai, Ranjeet, Rakesh Pande, Shiv Kumar, Raju, Bittoo, Nandita Thakur, Achala Sachdev, Sanjana, Ram Mohan, Goga, Yunus Parvez, Sunder, Randhir, Mac Mohan, Jayraj, Karan Deewan, M. Rajan, Kumud Tripathi, Amrit Pal, Narayan, R. P. Sethi, Jankidas, Bhola, Gulshan Bawra, Yograj, B.M. Vyas, B.B. Bhalla, Kirti Kumar, Rajan Kapoor and others. Dev Kumar, Gautam Sarin and Aruna Irani had a friendly appearance in this movie.

Centuries – pivotal events. And always welcome. Give us a quantized measure of manageable progress. Like one part of a lo..ong project accomplished. Or like completing one cycle of an endless process. Would we like to compare with the earth going around the sun? Maybe not a good idea. A century taking 365 days to complete. Or maybe compare to Victor Trumper and Don Bradman and Majid Khan – getting a century in the very first session of a test match. Ah but that maybe going too fast for this crowded bandwagon of Atulites.

We are adding the missing movies of 1972 on the blog. Obviously, these are the movies which are itself obscure type or which remain lesser-known movies. I think the today’s movie is one such movie. Because I do not remember to have heard about it earlier or read about it or ever listen to its songs earlier.
Today’s movie is ‘Naag Panchami’. We already have one movie titled as ‘Naag Panchami’ from the year 1953 on the blog.

This “social” movie had Shashi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar, Rakhi, Bindu, Sujit Kumar, Dinesh Hingoo, Preeti Ganguly, Master Raju, Minu Chitnis, Preetam, Vikrant (Romeo), Adi Irani, M Hanif, Bilimoria etc. The movie also had special appearances by Aziz Naazaan, Jayshree T Uma Dhawan, Raza Murad and Dwara Divecha.
