Hindi movies has one genre of song that I call Villain’s den song. In this song, hero or his accomplices enter villain’s hideout in disguise while singing a song. Another genre of song related to villain’s den song is “diversion” song. In this a female accomplices sings and dances and the villains minnows are easily lured by her, and that allows other accomplices of the hero to gain access to villain’s hideout.

While looking at the picturisation of this song, I wondered why this song does not qualify to be called a Mujra song. As it is, Mujra songs are those songs where the clients are ordinary folks or spoilt nawaabs. If the same dance is performed in a royal court, it becomes a royal court (Rajdarbaar) dance.

Most people are aware of “Bhai Bhai” (1956),but it turns out that there is another movie of the same name that was released in 1970.”Bhai Bhai”(1970) was produced by Ratan Mohan and directed by Raja Nawathhe. This movie had Sunil Dutt, Asha Parekh, Mumtaz, Aruna Irani, Rashid Khan, Mehmood, Pran, Leela Chitnis, Iftekhar, Manmohan Krishna, Madan Puri, Raj Mehra, Jeevan, Mukri, Mohan Choti, Asit Sen etc in it.

What is the best stage of one’s life to enjoy Hindi movies ? At the age of 5-6 years, you are too young to realise what is going on, and at the age of 15-16, you have learnt to think logically, and you are then required to become mature and responsible. Neither state of affairs is desirable if you want to enjoy Hindi movies.
