Blog 10-Year Challenge (2012-2022) – Song No. 122
————————————————————————————–
Hullo Atuldom
“Vidhaata” (1982) made its debut on the blog on this date ten years ago (1 november 2012) with the song (Ho saathhiya) whose lyrics were contributed by Prakashchandraji. That was also a post to wish the leading lady of that film on her birthday.
That makes ‘Vidhaata” a part of the BTYC 2012-2022 today on 1 november 2022.
Ten years back on this date viz on 1 november 2012, six songs from six movies were covered on the blog. Here are the details:-
| Blog post number | Song | Movie (Year) | Remarks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6928 | Haan qaidi | Bhaabhi(1938) | 2 songs out of 11 covered by now |
| 6929 | Ro ro nain ganwaaun sajanwa aan milo | Baaghbaan(1938) | 3 songs covered out of 9 by now |
| 6930 | Kehta thha zamaana magar hamne na maana | Aag Ka Dariya (1953) | Movie YIPPEED by now |
| 6931 | Hazaaron rang badlega zamaana | Shirin Farhad (1956) | Movie YIPPEED by now |
| 6932 | Wo ek haseen ladki jo bas laajawaab thhi | Aakraman(1975) | Movie YIPPEED by now |
| 6933 | Ho saathiyaa | Vidhaata(1982) | 2 songs out of 8 by now |
The above table shows that three movies have been yyiippeeeed so far and I have no idea about the availability of the songs of the movie released in 1938. Hence I am going for a song from “Vidhaata” to go with this post.

#the Decade of Seventies – 1971 – 1980 #
————————————————————
# Bhoole-Bisre Geet # # Dil Ka Raaja -1972#
—————————————
Today’s song is from the ‘1972’ movie ‘Dil Ka Raaja’.
This is one movie which I came across while presenting the ‘missing movies of 1972’ on the blog. Though this movie made its debut on the blog way back on 14.10.2014, only one song from this movie has been posted on the blog. I do not remember to have listened to other songs from this movie. That is the reason for this post where today we will enjoy the second song from this movie.

One song from this movie was posted on the blog ten years back on this day. In all, five songs were discussed on this day ten years ago on 19 January 2012.
Here is the list.
| Song | Movie title(Year) | Remarks |

| Muhabbat mein aise zamaane bhi aaye | Sagaai(1951) | All Songs covered |
| Ye samaa ye khushi kuchh bolo jee bolo jee | Ghar Ghar Ki Baat(1959) | All Songs covered |
| Saaraa mora kajraa chhudaayaa toone | Do Dil(1965) | All Songs covered |

Today’s song is from the ‘1970’ movie ‘Darpan’.
I came across this song very recently on ‘Vividh Bharti’. I liked this song on the very first instance when I listened to it. And as usual thereafter I checked it on the blog. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not yet covered on the blog, because that gives me this opportunity to present this song on the blog. Though I am bit late in sending this to our editors.

Welcome all to today’s post which is coming after a long gap of more than two years. In this series we discussed song by ‘Pancham-Rafi’ jodi. This series was basically inspired by an article on the blog ‘Pancham and Only Pancham’ – and the title of the article is ‘Tribute to Rafi Sahab on 28th Death Anniversary‘, published on Rafi Sb’s twenty-eighth ‘Remembrance Anniversary’ on 31.07.2008. This article lists out the ‘variety of songs by the genius -Pancham-Rafi’ jodi based on different ‘genres’ of music.

Hullo Atuldom
This post sees the 20th November 1981 released “Gehra Zakhm” (as written in the titles of the movie) making its debut on the blog.
It is possible that the success of “Dada” (1979) prompted the casting of Amjad Khan in a pivotal role in this, since in that period he was known more for his negative characters. Vinod Mehra was the hero -just as in “Dada”. Ranjeeta Kaur, Kadar Khan, Sheetal, Jagdeep, Satyen kappu, Om Shivpuri etc formed the rest of the cast. Master Mayur played the young Vinod Mehra and Master Titoo played Amjad Khan’s childhood. Master Ravi plays the child who is rescued by Amjad Khan from Kadar Khan’s goonda and restored to his mother with some heavy duty dialogues to the effect that “maa se badhkar koi cheez nahi”. Jagdeep is Vinod Mehra’s (Vijay) friend who keeps urging the educated unemployed Vijay to live honestly and stop coming up with get-rich schemes.
