Govind Arun Ahuja is the son of former actor Arun Kumar Ahuja and singer-actress Nirmala Devi. We all know Govind Arun Ahuja as Govinda, he is the youngest of six children. Today 19th December’2021 is the 102nd birth anniversary’ of actor Om Prakash (19.12.1919 – 21.02.1998) whom we have watched performing in many character roles in the Hindi movies.
When I think of the movies of Om Prakash where I watched and liked his performance, it is a long list. I must say I liked his performances in all the movies where I have watched him.

Today’s song is from the film Badi Maa-1945.
No wonder that the word Maa is one of the favorites of our film makers. There were 5 films called Maa and its varieties like Badi Maa, Chhoti Maa. Then there were Maa films with Baap, Beta, Beti, Behen,Biwi, Mamata, Aanchal, Pyaar, Aansoo, Saugandh, Shakti, and Qasam. Additionally, Durga and Santoshi Maa were also made. Almost 30 films about Maa at one place in the index book. I did not try other letters of the alphabet to see more films with the word maa – like Naani Maa etc !

Hullo Atuldom
So, we have post number 16700 up. Congratulations to Atulji on yet another Hundred. There was a time, not so long back, when we used to have a century every month. Atulji, please confirm, wasn’t there a fastest century too- a century in 16 days? In the run up to my previous post I had noticed that “this date last year” i.e. 15th December 2020, the blog had celebrated its 16100th post with this post which also happened to be the music director duo Shankar-Jaikishan’s 1000th on the blog. I was wondering how Atulji will make post number 16700 special and it is indeed special considering the time-period of that song (1947). Hearty congratulations Atulji.
