In my growing years, in the seventies, Hema Malini was the leading name among the actresses in the Hindi movies and she ruled the ‘screen’ in those years 1971-1980 and extended thereafter till 1986 if we can consider it.
During those years there were many other heroines on the Hindi Movie scene who lit up the screen with their presence and performances.
One of these names is ‘Reena Roy’, whose growth in her career coincided with the growth of people like me (those born in early seventies) in our lives. She made her debut in the 1972 movie ‘Zaroorat’. A year or more later in 1973 came her sizzling dance number ‘ab ke saawan mein jee darey’ in ‘Jaise Ko Taisa’ with actor Jeetendra’.

Hullo to Atuldom
At the outset let me wish our friend of Atuldom “A very Happy Birthday” and lotsa of love and joy forever. Let her always be a mystery (paheli); atleast till I meet her personally. But from accounts about her that Sudhirji had once shared on the blog and Atulji’s had written in his post I am very eager to meet her.
